Few writers of any era have written more insightfully or entertainingly on the subject of romantic love than has Jane Austen. This September, the popular Jane Austen Tours of the Governor Gore mansion return. The theme for the tours will be The Art of Romance in the Austen Era. During these special tours of the beautiful 1806 mansion, a guide dressed in period clothing will use quotes from Austen's novels and letters and relate anecdotes about the triumphs and foibles of love in Austen's time. The tour will be offered on Sunday, September 26 at 1 and 3pm. Admission for the tour is $12 adults, $8 children ages 5 to 12. Capacity limited. Advanced tickets suggested.
